Requirements of Pre-alerts of Cargo to Australia
All air and sea cargo must be reported electronically to Customs prior to the cargo's arrival in Australia. Air cargo has to be reported at least 3 hours prior to the aircrafts arrival (first Australian port) and sea cargo has to be reported at least 48 hours prior to the ships arrival (first Australian port).

The information required to complete the reports is as below.

1. Flight number
2. Flight arrival date
3. First Australian port
4. Original port of loading
5. Port of discharge
6. Final port of destination
7. Consignor details
8. Consignee details
9. Ocean Bill of Lading/Airwaybill numbers
(including master B/L // house B/L and master air waybill // house airwaybill numbers)
10. Goods description
11. For Airfreight - The Master airwaybill needs to show
"Consolidation as per attached manifest"
with the actual goods descrition shown on the house airwaybill
